This latest episode of Infra Dig sees Taaleri Energia managing director Kai Rintala delve into the fund manager’s strategy to drive business across East Europe as it continues to build presence across select nations.

IJGlobal editorial director Angus Leslie Melville talks to Kai about Taaleri’s well established role in the market as a renewables fund manager investing in onshore wind, PV solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) with a primary focus on Europe and some interests in the US. Taaleri has €1.3 billion of assets under management and 2.5GW under construction and operational capacity and 7GW in the development pipeline.

Kai, who will be speaking at IJGlobal’s European conference – Infrastructure Finance Forum - Europe 2026 – on 12-13 May at the Novotel Madrid Center, takes the listener through Taaleri’s strategy to invest East.

Taaleri has all the skills of an independent power producer (IPP), but operates under a fund manager management structure.

This podcast sees Kai run through the opportunity his firm sees across East Europe and how the fund manager is capitalising on that.
